Since 1864, a history of superior ergonomics and reliability has set Steyr Arms apart from other manufacturers. With this superior quality in mind, Steyr has designed its training academy courses to be custom-tailored to your specific needs, unlike many standardized shooting courses.

Two new training academy courses have been added to the Steyr Arms’ calendar. Steyr Precision Rifle I (SPR-I), which will focus on improving shooting ranges beyond typical hunting and sports shooting, and Steyr Precision Armorer (SPA), which will focus on armorer and shooting excellence in the maintenance and zero procedures.

Taught by Steyr’s Training Academy director Eduardo Abril de Fontcuberta, the SPR-I course and the SPA course will take place over the course of three days, from 8:30AM to 5:30PM, in an intimate environment, allowing for one-on-one instruction. Fontcuberta is a long-range world champion with over 25 years of experience as a military and police sniper instructor and armorer, and is one of the World’s Extreme Long Range leaders.

In the SPR-I course, individuals will learn how to properly zero a rifle, select the best zero distance for the application, and test the scope and rifle performance accurately. The fundamentals of marksmanship and the components of successful long-range shooting, which includes wind estimation, ballistics knowledge and software options, new hardware and optics, and a Steyr Logbook for data collection, will also be taught.

The SPA course provides the knowledge and skills needed to gain Steyr’s accuracy potential and maintain it overtime. Instead of just covering the basics, this course focuses on the art of assembling and maintaining a precision rifle which includes all special needs, optics, ammunition, and complex adjustments. Director Eduardo Abril de Fontcuberta provides the knowledge to gain 100% effectiveness from the Steyr precision rifles, as well as complete repairs and keep them performing at competition/sniper standards.
